Phase Leader - Primary School

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking educational leader to serve as a Phase Leader within our thriving primary school. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a defined phase, guiding a team of teachers and support staff to foster high standards in teaching, learning, student achievement, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and management for a specific phase in the primary school, supporting and aligning with the school's vision and strategic goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring, evaluating, and developing action plans.
• Contribute to whole-school development as an active member of the leadership team.
• Ensure consistently excellent teaching and learning practices across the phase.
• Use pupil progress data effectively to inform strategies that enhance outcomes.
• Lead coaching, mentoring, and professional development efforts for the teaching staff.
• Promote innovative and research-based teaching methods.
• Support delivery and ongoing development of a curriculum that is broad, balanced, and engaging for all learners.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and monitor its impact across different year groups.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Manage behavior, attendance, wellbeing, and safeguarding within the phase.
• Develop strong relationships with parents and the wider school community.
• Line manage year group leaders along with teaching and support staff as appropriate.
• Conduct performance management and foster staff development initiatives.
• Encourage a collaborative culture emphasizing accountability and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree coupled with a recognized teaching qualification.
• Proven track record as a successful middle or senior leader in a primary school environment.
• Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
• Demonstrated impact on enhancing teaching quality, learning outcomes, and student achievements.
• Experience in leading and developing educational teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within an international school setting.
• Possession of NPQ or equivalent leadership training.
• Familiarity with school inspection frameworks such as ADEK or British Schools Overseas (BSO).
