Role overview

The People Operations Partner is responsible for running HR support for assigned facilities and/or teams, while also handling related projects. This role uses knowledge of hiring, retention, employee relations, policies, procedures, and federal and state employment laws to help the business operate compliantly and effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply HR guidelines, regulations, and best practices to monitor compliance with employment laws, internal policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Review and/or investigate employee relations concerns promptly and recommend suitable next steps.
  • Advise managers and respond to employee questions in a timely and professional way.
  • Support internal stakeholders across assigned sites through meetings, events, issue resolution, and day-to-day coordination.
  • Manage the end-to-end staffing process, including sourcing, recruiting, affirmative action efforts, pre-employment screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Work with leaders and other professionals to build or deliver programs that support business goals, enterprise initiatives, and employee growth.
  • Provide guidance, training, and practical best practices to teammates.
  • Partner with operations and other stakeholders to create action plans that reduce voluntary turnover and improve employee engagement.
  • Take part in retention and engagement activities, compliance initiatives, and follow-up on assigned action items.
  • Work with hiring managers on pay review recommendations and advise on salary guidelines and sound compensation decisions.
  • Support multi-site operations when needed, including travel to other locations as required.
  • Contribute to special projects such as the annual merit process by supporting managers with tools, guidance, and assistance.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

Education and experience

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field is required. Candidates without a bachelor’s degree may qualify with a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of the required experience, and an additional 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in employee relations.

At least 2 years of professional HR experience in HR Generalist, employee relations, talent acquisition, or a related area is required.
