Position Overview
We are seeking a PC & Systems Support Technician to join our team at Scott Air Force Base. This role involves supporting Armed Forces members by ensuring the operational readiness of US Military warfighting capabilities. The technician will provide technical assistance for hardware, systems, sub-systems, and application support, while fostering teamwork, promoting excellence, and demonstrating integrity as a team leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver remote or desk-side assistance to clients to facilitate new capability implementations, troubleshoot software issues, and resolve access problems related to servers and peripherals.
- Address queries involving installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products, using diagnostic methods to identify, investigate, and resolve common faults.
- Manage and catalog printers, including support for lifecycle replacements.
- Troubleshoot and maintain centralized printer controllers.
- Provide training for end users on equipment and software usage.
- Maintain and apply telecommunications protocols effectively.
- Install new hardware components and perform upkeep of existing systems.
- Implement government-approved OS patches and updates.
- Load and configure authorized client software on end-user machines to enable service access and peripheral use.
- Respond to Classified Message Incidents (CMI) and take necessary corrective actions.
- Manage incidents according to the Incident Priority and Escalation Matrix.
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly within the ITSM system.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 4 to 10+ years of relevant technical support experience.
- Applicants must be US Citizens.
- Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
- Possession of DoD 8570 Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ is required.

Salary Information
The hourly wage range for this position is $25 to $28.
