Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
The Payroll Officer will manage employee vacation settlements including leave salary, accrued leave, and other relevant benefits. Responsibilities include handling employee end-of-service settlements, such as gratuity, leave encashment, pending salary, and final dues in accordance with UAE Labour Law and company regulations. The role requires maintaining and entering employee deductions like salary advances, loans, unpaid leaves, and absences into the payroll system.
Accuracy of employee records and payroll data must be verified before settlement processing. Coordination with HR, Finance, and Payroll departments is essential to address discrepancies and ensure settlements are processed on time. All settlement calculations should strictly follow company policies, legal standards, and internal protocols.
The Payroll Officer is responsible for preserving accurate payroll and settlement documentation and safeguarding employee confidentiality. Preparation of settlement reports, payroll reconciliation, and supporting monthly payroll and final settlements are also part of the duties. Timely employee settlement processing is critical to facilitate a smooth separation process.
Qualification Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related discipline. Additional certifications in Payroll, HR, or Finance are considered beneficial.
