Job Overview
We are seeking a Payments Data Analyst to join our team in Toronto, Canada, on a hybrid work schedule for a long-term contract engagement. This position focuses on payments data analysis aimed at modernization and development of functional solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze payments data with a focus on modernizing processes and developing new functional solutions.
- Conduct detailed data analysis utilizing strong Python and SQL skills.
- Develop comprehensive solution documents and translate these into techno-functional user stories to support implementation changes on the target platform.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of payment processing, specifically with GPP Finnastra payment hub architecture, including workflows, routing, validation, and exception management.
- Perform business analysis activities such as gathering requirements, conducting gap analysis, and producing functional specifications.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Proficient in Python programming and SQL for data handling and analysis.
- Sound knowledge of wholesale payments and wire transfer processing.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with payment processing workflows and systems, especially the GPP Finnastra payment hub.
- Robust business analysis capabilities to gather requirements and evaluate gaps in existing processes.
- Ability to prepare detailed solution documentation and functional specifications for technical teams.
