Job Summary

The Operator III role involves managing the offline slitter machine, ensuring production targets are met with consistent quality in alignment with customer specifications. The operator exercises complete control over slitter machine functions while adhering to established standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Load mill rolls onto the slitter machine, set up the machine appropriately, and load paper cores cut to correct sizes as per the production plan.
• Verify accuracy of every setup according to the Slitter Job Order to conform to quality standards and customer requirements.
• Operate the slitter machine efficiently while strictly following safety regulations.
• Inspect and monitor the quality of slitted rolls, then place them in designated zones for subsequent processing.
• Conduct quality control checks on slitted rolls during and after production completion.
• Perform visual inspections focusing on winding quality and the roll’s appearance.
• Test and record roll hardness using a Test Hammer device.
• Unload slitted rolls and transport them to packing or other designated semi-finished goods areas.
• Label finished rolls and accurately enter production data into Oracle and Bonfanti System applications.
• Record detailed production inputs and outputs, prepare shift reports, and maintain logbooks related to slitting activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the slitter machine and surrounding work area.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma degree is required.
• At least one year of relevant experience operating slitter machines or related production equipment.

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
