Nursery Housekeeper

Join Kido Camden Nursery & Preschool as a Nursery Housekeeper, where passion and community spirit drive everything we do. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining our warm, welcoming environment and ensuring children enjoy nutritious meals throughout the day. Beyond meal preparation, you will be the advocate for the well-being and safety of our nursery, supporting the presentation and cleanliness standards that define our culture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the nursery, ensuring all areas are welcoming, organized, and prepared for daily activities and inspections.
• Manage laundry, empty bins, organize deliveries, and keep all equipment sanitized and safe.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, environmental health officer (EHO), and COSHH regulations.
• Promote exemplary hygiene and safe working practices aligned with safeguarding policies to protect children's welfare.
• Support team members with various duties fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace.
• Communicate proactively to manage stock and resources efficiently.

Requirements

• Commitment to compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act and safeguarding regulations.
• Strong organizational skills to keep the nursery environment orderly and inspection-ready.
• Awareness of and adherence to EHO and COSHH standards.
• Capability to promote a culture of safety, cleanliness, and well-being among staff and children.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team to support nursery operations.

Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Salary: £26,463 to £27,000 per year.
