Role Overview
The NDIS Payroll and Invoicing Officer is tasked with ensuring precise processing of payroll and invoicing related to NDIS-funded and homecare supports. Based in Adelaide, SA, this hybrid position offers some flexibility for remote work. Typical responsibilities include managing payroll cycles, ensuring compliance with relevant industrial awards and NDIS pricing structures, generating and issuing client invoices, and handling payment reconciliations. The role demands maintaining accurate financial documentation, addressing payroll and invoicing inquiries from staff, clients, and other stakeholders, as well as partnering with support coordinators and finance teams to guarantee prompt and correct billing. Continuous improvements to payroll and invoicing workflows and delivering clear, respectful communication internally and externally are also key expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven expertise in payroll administration and services including comprehensive processing and maintaining records.
- Familiarity with payroll tax regulations and financial principles applicable within NDIS and community service sectors.
- Excellent communication ability to clearly explain payroll and invoicing matters to varied stakeholders.
- Experience operating within NDIS, community services, or healthcare contexts, with knowledge of NDIS pricing and billing practices.
- Competence in payroll and accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and standard office tools.
- High attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, plus organisational skills to effectively balance multiple priorities.
- Understanding and commitment to confidentiality, data security, and ethical management of financial and personal information.
