Currently, KPMG is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to join its International Development Advisory Services (IDAS) team. IDAS is committed to addressing challenges faced by global development actors, collaborating with NGOs, philanthropic bodies, development agencies, multilateral development banks, and other international organizations. The practice operates across West Africa, managing projects that ensure consistency in delivery, results, and impact.
IDAS works within sectors such as agribusiness, climate change and renewable energy, health and human services, youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, trade and investment, social development and inclusion, as well as inclusive and innovative finance.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Lead the design, implementation, and coordination of M&E systems to effectively monitor project progress and assess impacts.
- Utilize a solid understanding of results-based management, theory of change, and gender-sensitive M&E practices.
- Engage in data analysis using software tools such as SPSS, STATA, Power BI, KoboToolbox, or Excel.
- Contribute to grant proposal writing and deliver presentations.
- Exhibit strong project management capabilities and consulting skills including analytical thinking, written and oral communication, and engaging presentations.
- Show high initiative, leadership qualities, and the ability to learn new skills in a supportive environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual proficiency in French is an advantage.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Master’s degree in development studies, economics, statistics, public health, social sciences, or related fields.
- At least a Second Class (Upper) division undergraduate degree in development-related disciplines (e.g., social sciences, accounting, economics, public health) from a recognized university.
- Minimum of five O’ Level credits in one sitting, including English and Mathematics.
- Over ten years of progressive professional experience in the development or humanitarian sector, with a track record of delivering projects for bilateral and multilateral institutions, preferably within Nigeria.
- Prior involvement with programs funded by USAID, FCDO, EU, UN, or World Bank is highly desirable.
