About the Role
We are looking for a skilled MEP BIM Modeler specializing in Fire Protection and Plumbing to contribute to a major infrastructure project based in Doha, Qatar. The role involves developing precise BIM models, coordinating with various engineering disciplines, and producing reliable construction documentation in adherence to BIM standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed and accurate BIM models focused on Fire Protection and Plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit.
- Develop and customize Revit MEP families aligned with project needs.
- Perform clash detection and coordination by collaborating with other disciplines utilizing Navisworks.
- Generate shop drawings, installation plans, schedules, and perform quantity take-offs.
- Revise BIM models responding to design updates, RFIs, and coordination feedback.
- Ensure all modeling work complies with BIM standards, client requirements, and project specifications.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and fellow BIM professionals to facilitate smooth project flow.
- Engage actively in coordination meetings and apply agreed-upon design modifications.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality and accurate BIM models.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years experience as an MEP BIM Modeler with a focus on Fire Protection and Plumbing modeling.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Drafting, or a comparable discipline.
- Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Proficiency using Navisworks for clash detection and model coordination.
- Deep understanding of BIM standards, Levels of Detail (LOD), and BIM methodologies.
- Experience in creating and modifying MEP families within Revit.
- Ability to produce comprehensive shop drawings, layouts, schedules, and quantify materials.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards relevant to Fire Protection and Plumbing.
- Strong capability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Preference for candidates who can join immediately.
