Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction activities related to rotating equipment, managing subcontractors and coordinating with area-based construction supervisors to ensure scope fulfillment on schedule, budget, and with required quality and HSE compliance.
• Maintain effective interfaces across disciplines including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to resolve site-related mechanical issues.
• Ensure timely completion of construction works in line with approved execution plans, promptly communicating any deviations to the project team.
• Review IFC drawings, engineering instructions, method statements, and mechanical schedules to supervise on-site work effectively.
• Coordinate weekly meetings with subcontractors to validate and plan upcoming activities, continuously updating weekly progress aligned with the overall project schedule.
• Assist Planning and Production Control teams to revise mechanical plans and prepare forecast updates.
• Supervise rotating equipment supervisors to set and evaluate daily targets according to project timelines, including workload distribution and accurate daily production recording.
• Enhance supervisory staff performance and competencies, organizing workflow and managing team personnel decisions.
• Monitor subcontractor manpower allocation and productivity, ensuring use of corporate mechanical tools and procedures.
• Oversee site readiness including availability of tools, worksite access, materials dispatch, and handling to prevent damage and reduce storage time.
• Conduct daily site walkthroughs to monitor progress, verify Work Time Sheets accuracy, and validate labor hour usage versus contractual limits.
• Support subcontract department by identifying subcontractor deficiencies and ensuring execution of contractual scopes without engaging in commercial agreements.
• Engage in technical discussions with Engineering and Client to address common issues and enhance production efficiency.
• Implement quality control measures such as mock-ups and toolbox talks prior to new construction activities, ensuring adherence to specifications, standards, and method statements.
• Maintain worksite cleanliness and organization complying with HSE policies and foster a safety culture among teams.
• Focus on mechanical completion and commissioning milestones, supervising punch list closeouts during handover phases.
• Encourage collection and reporting of lessons learned for continuous improvement using corporate systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least 15 years’ experience in construction, with 7 to 10 years specifically in rotating equipment supervision or superintendent roles.
• Proven background in EPC projects in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Power Plant, or Industrial Construction sectors.
• Experience managing subcontractors, supervisors, and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Capability to effectively coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Quality, Commissioning, and Client representatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Capacity to perform in multicultural environments and prioritize tasks under stringent project timelines.
• Proficiency in English language.
