Marketing Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our team in Singapore and help expand our presence in Southeast Asia by promoting academic publishing services. This full-time role is ideal for individuals keen to connect with scientific research and support scholarly communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor industry developments and identify relevant academic conferences across various disciplines.
• Research market trends and competitor strategies to enhance marketing initiatives.
• Help produce marketing materials such as social media content, newsletters, and promotional assets.
• Manage social media profiles for MDPI Singapore, including content creation, audience engagement, and performance tracking.
• Plan and oversee online and offline events like workshops, webinars, and conferences.
• Assist in organizing corporate events such as author training at leading universities and institutions in Southeast Asia.
• Represent the company at academic conferences regionally, including setting up exhibition booths onsite.
• Develop and nurture relationships with key scholars and academic media contacts within Southeast Asia.
• Respond to incoming inquiries about MDPI's services.
• Provide administrative support for client outreach, database management, and promotional activity logistics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related business field.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse and dynamic international setting.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills.
• Previous exposure to academic publishing, exhibitions, or strategic planning is beneficial.
• Experience or skills in digital marketing is a plus.

Additional Information

Training and Career Development

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive on-the-job training with guidance from an assigned mentor during the first six months. Initial tasks will focus on foundational marketing projects. While prior experience is not mandatory, familiarity with brand communication is advantageous.
