About the Role
EY seeks a Manager or Senior Manager to join its esteemed Valuation, Modelling, and Economics practice, focusing on the Financial Services sector, including Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance, and Wealth & Asset Management. This role provides a unique opportunity to operate within a global, diverse team dedicated to delivering strategic solutions to complex client challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advisory services addressing transaction and non-transaction related decisions such as strategic planning, value creation assessment, operational model redesign, feasibility studies, financial reporting, valuation, and transactional analysis.
- Engage deeply with clients to understand their core business drivers, collaboratively develop approaches, agree on value metrics, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
- Support clients in defining strategic priorities through comprehensive analysis, ranging from initial strategy development to transaction execution.
- Prepare, review, and present various deliverables including excel data books, formal reports, presentations, and client discussions.
- Recognize firm capabilities and proactively identify opportunities for cross-selling additional services to clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business.
- 7 to 12 years of relevant experience, particularly in business valuation within the Financial Services sector.
- Proficient in multiple valuation techniques, market analysis, feasibility and business planning, operational model evaluation, financial analysis, capital allocation, cost optimization, and portfolio management.
- Strong financial modelling expertise, including building models from the ground up.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial institutions’ balance sheets and operating frameworks.
- Broad knowledge of IFRS standards concerning fair value measurements, business combinations, impairment testing, among others.
- Prior experience in professional services or Big 4 firms and progress toward or achievement of CFA accreditation are advantageous.
- Demonstrated business development competency is desirable.
