Manager - Workplace Plans and Policy

Role Overview

This position entails overseeing the comprehensive planning of administrative facilities within MINDEF/SAF camps and bases, steering critical infrastructure development, and formulating workplace and infrastructure policies with a strong emphasis on enhancing employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement master plans for upgrading administrative facilities across SAF camps and bases.
• Supervise major infrastructure projects located in Gombak and Depot Road precincts.
• Collect and evaluate requirements from various stakeholders for significant infrastructure initiatives.
• Prepare proposals for block requirements and obtain approvals for major infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate and develop workplace and infrastructure policies and standards.
• Keep abreast of evolving industry norms and trends in workplace design.

Challenges

• Managing the varied interests of multiple stakeholders in extensive, complex projects that are long-term in nature.
• Ensuring that workspace and workplace planning effectively address future requirements and expectations.

Candidate Profile

• Educational background in fields such as Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, Civil Engineering, Land Management, or Humanities and Social Sciences with an emphasis on urban topics.
• Strong ability in analysis and effective communication.
• Proficiency in professional writing.
• Experience or capability in managing diverse stakeholder relationships.
• Open to applicants without prior professional experience.
