Job Overview
This managerial role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the team delivering spa services encompassing salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception, massage, and locker room operations. The focus is on ensuring high satisfaction for both guests and employees while meeting the department's financial targets.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in spa services, guest services, or a related professional field.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Spa Director's deputy in their absence, taking over managerial duties as needed.
- Ensure availability of adequate supplies, equipment, and uniforms for all employees.
- Understand and assist with the department's financial management including budgets, operating reports, and payroll monitoring.
- Manage supply and equipment inventories efficiently to remain within budget.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of spa facilities and equipment.
- Comprehend how department operations impact the overall financial objectives of the property and work towards meeting or surpassing these goals.
- Promote outstanding guest relations by setting a positive example and engaging guests to gather feedback on service quality.
- Resolve guest issues and complaints effectively, empowering staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Foster a culture of guest satisfaction and continual service improvement through communication and training.
- Encourage open communication by welcoming employee feedback and addressing concerns promptly.
- Clarify employee roles, expectations, and company policies, escalating issues to management or Human Resources when necessary.
- Observe and provide constructive feedback on employee service behaviors and support disciplinary processes when required.
- Participate in employee recognition initiatives and ongoing training programs, including orientation for new hires.
- Build and sustain collaborative and respectful team relationships, celebrating team achievements publicly.
- Ensure consistent administration of policies, disciplinary actions, and documentation following standard operating procedures.
- Support the Spa Director with daily operational management tasks as needed.
