- Supervise, guide, and grow staff working across finance, administration, records management, procurement, and stores.
- Oversee the purchase, disposal, and upkeep of departmental physical assets, excluding land and buildings, in a way that reduces total lifecycle cost and improves value for the department.
- Assist the Manager Business Support Services with annual estimates, centre budgets, cash flow planning, and yearly expenditure targets, including budget allocation information for the Youth Detention Centre.
- Create and manage systems and processes that support reporting on assets, finance, and administrative activities for the centre.
- Set up and maintain governance arrangements so financial and administrative activities comply with public sector laws, standards, policies, and procedures, while providing expert advice to solve issues and improve service delivery.
- Lead workforce planning, team coordination, coaching, and professional development to ensure services are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong customer focus.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage priorities, secure support, and strengthen commitment to service excellence.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a valid Blue Card.
- Experience leading administrative, finance, procurement, records, or stores functions is required.
- Ability to manage budgets, support forecasting, and monitor expenditure is expected.
- Strong knowledge of governance, public sector compliance, and operational administration is important.
