About the Role

Tesco Ireland is actively seeking a Line Manager to lead a department and supervise a team in Donegal Town. This leadership role focuses on ensuring customers receive excellent service, maintaining high standards, and achieving sales targets through effective team management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor your team to provide an exceptional shopping experience by maintaining service quality, product availability, and standards.
  • Achieve departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) consistently.
  • Make daily operational decisions to support your team's performance and engagement.
  • Implement comprehensive training programs, ensuring all team members complete necessary training and hold valid qualifications.
  • Manage departmental processes and routines precisely and on schedule.
  • Organize and execute seasonal promotions and trade events to maximize sales and store presentation.
  • Oversee compliance with safety and legal procedures, establishing plans to resolve any issues.
  • Ensure colleagues understand objectives, conduct regular reviews, foster career conversations, and maintain active personal development plans (PDPs).
  • Deliver ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to enhance team skills and confidence.
  • Create an environment that fuels innovation and personal growth.
  • Model a workplace culture where customers enjoy shopping and employees relish their roles.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous management experience is essential.
  • A proven passion for delivering excellent experiences for customers and colleagues.
  • Adaptability and agility in decision-making within a fast-moving environment.
  • A strong track record of meeting key objectives efficiently.
  • Recognized as the go-to expert within your area of responsibility.
  • Ability to influence senior management and shape departmental strategies.
  • Preferably holds experience in the retail sector.
