Legal Researcher

Position Overview

This contract role is designed for experienced attorneys from large law firms (BigLaw) to perform comprehensive legal analysis and research on a variety of United States law topics. The position offers a flexible remote work setup with a commitment ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed and thorough legal analysis on multiple areas of US law, providing insightful guidance.
• Carry out extensive legal research to support project goals and maintain up-to-date and precise legal information.
• Create, review, and revise legal documents including memoranda, legal opinions, contracts, and other pertinent materials.
• Evaluate legal documents critically, offering structured feedback aimed at improving clarity, accuracy, and compliance with established practices.
• Engage collaboratively in remote multidisciplinary teams to enhance project outputs and address complex legal issues.
• Help ensure the quality of legal content by identifying mistakes, inconsistencies, or unclear passages.

Required Qualifications

• Must hold an active license to practice law in the United States supported by excellent academic achievements.
• Previous professional experience working in prestigious law firms.
• Demonstrated competence in legal research, analysis, and drafting on a wide scope of subjects.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, especially in reviewing legal content.

Additional Information

• This is a contract position that offers hourly pay between $140 and $280.
• Flexible weekly hours expected, from 10 to 40 hours per week.
• The role is fully remote, requiring no onsite presence.
