Role Overview
They are seeking a creative, meticulous Learning Designer to join their E-Learning team remotely. This junior-level position involves crafting engaging online educational experiences by applying instructional design principles. The designer will act as a key pedagogical advisor within the content team, shaping course structures, recommending effective learning activities, and ensuring alignment with clear educational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and storyboard online courses for platforms like FutureLearn, Course Studio, and Canvas.
- Collaborate closely with academic partners and stakeholders to create learner-centric content.
- Translate course requirements into actionable plans for build teams.
- Provide guidance on content structuring, media utilization, and learning activities to enrich the learner experience.
- Support partners through onboarding, continued consultancy, and guidance.
- Contribute to quality assurance to ensure courses meet established standards.
- Analyze course outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Keep abreast of trends in online learning and share insights with the team.
- Assist content development by preparing reading lists, syllabi, and coordinating assessments.
- Maintain project oversight using tools such as Monday boards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in course or learning design, preferably within online or blended learning environments.
- Solid understanding of pedagogical theories and digital learning methodologies.
- Strong ability to simplify complex concepts into clear and engaging educational content.
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging both educational and non-educational stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational capabilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in creating clear documentation and design materials.
- A collaborative approach with aptitude for working within diverse teams.
