This position is based at the Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, a luxury hotel in the northernmost emirate of the UAE, offering a beautiful setting of beach, desert, and mountains. The resort provides an eco-friendly sanctuary with overwater luxury on the Arabian Gulf. Ras Al Khaimah is known for its serene environment, located just 45 minutes from Dubai, ideal for guests and staff seeking a tranquil yet adventurous lifestyle.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Handle all guest and hotel laundry efficiently and in accordance with item-specific requirements and hotel SOPs, ensuring cleanliness and good condition of all laundry items.
• Adhere to safe storage and handling procedures for laundry chemicals to avoid hazardous situations for oneself and colleagues.
• Operate laundry machines properly, respecting weight limits and operational guidelines to maintain equipment functionality.
• Sort all laundry, separating linens and similar items by usage and color for optimal washing results.
• Promptly collect laundry from guest rooms as needed to maintain quick turnaround.
• Separate guest laundry by treatment type (dry cleaning, pressing, washing) and forward to the appropriate department.
• Verify that all guest laundry items have been properly processed before returning them to guest rooms.
• Respect guests' privacy and preferences by adhering to 'Do Not Disturb' notices when delivering laundry to rooms.
• Coordinate billing information with the cashier department before shift end.
• Assist team members with other job tasks and duties as assigned, including any special projects related to hotel operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Familiarity with hotel laundry protocols and garment care practices.
• Basic knowledge of fabric types, stain treatment methods, and laundry care symbols.
• Capability to complete laundry-related paperwork accurately and tag guest garments properly.
• Strong organizational skills with effective time management.
• Meticulous attention to detail to prevent loss or damage of items.
• Basic communication skills to engage professionally with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to respond to guest laundry requests promptly and courteously.
• Awareness of hotel standards for safety, hygiene, and security.
