Job Overview

This position demands a detail-focused professional capable of managing laundry staff, maintaining equipment, and optimizing laundry operations within a fast-paced hotel environment.

Key Duties

• Oversee all daily laundry activities such as washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distributing linens and guest laundry.
• Lead, train, and inspire laundry personnel to uphold quality standards and comply with hotel policies.
• Design and execute efficient workflow processes to ensure timely laundry handling.
• Manage inventory for laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals.
• Supervise regular maintenance of laundry machinery and address equipment issues promptly.
• Enforce compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards according to hotel and local regulations.
• Prepare and control the laundry department’s budget, aiming to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other teams to satisfy guest requirements and handle laundry-related concerns.
• Maintain precise records of daily operations including equipment usage, maintenance logs, and staff schedules.
• Perform consistent quality inspections and participate in audits to meet brand standards.
• Introduce innovative strategies to enhance laundry processes and minimize environmental footprint.
• Cultivate a positive workplace environment promoting teamwork and career growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing laundry operations in a 5-star hotel environment, with expert knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, chemical use, and fabric care.
• Strong leadership capabilities with excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume setting.
• Proficient in English communication and competent with computer applications and inventory systems.
• Capability to operate efficiently under pressure while maintaining meticulous quality standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations in laundry services.
• Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and solving operational issues.
