Job Overview
The Land Analyst is primarily responsible for handling both physical and electronic document management within the enterprise content management system. Duties include collecting, processing, scanning, indexing, quality control, routing, and archiving of documents received via mail and interdepartmental channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming mail and deliveries, ensuring timely handling (5%).
- Prepare, organize, and stage physical documents for scanning and archiving (5%).
- Digitally scan physical documents adhering to standard procedures (10%).
- Perform accurate indexing, conduct quality assurance on digital scans, and search databases to identify missing legacy data within the system (50%).
- Route, track, and index digital documents electronically, supporting document archiving processes (25%).
- Assist with additional tasks including document preparation, tracking, and identifying possible software improvements (5%).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of one year in clerical or general office work, with preference given to candidates with five years' administrative support experience in oil and gas land or related sectors.
Skills and Competencies
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong clerical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to resolve moderate complexity issues through applied knowledge.
- Understanding of business practices, industry norms, and system standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various land data types.
- Familiarity with databases used by regulatory bodies, DrillingInfo, and digital county record sites.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clear and confidential communication skills, keeping stakeholders informed appropriately.
- Eagerness to expand understanding of petroleum industry land-related business and technical vocabulary.
Decision Making and Work Approach
- Consult with supervisors on unusual problems and escalate corporate land issues as necessary.
- Operate under moderate supervision, proposing process improvements and recognizing workload surges needing additional support.
- Employ innovative techniques to overcome challenges and conclude work promptly.
Collaboration
Maintains close working relationships with Land and Land Services teams for document processing coordination.
Physical and Work Environment
- Must be able to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Regularly lift or move items up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Requires good visual acuity including near, distance, and color vision.
- Ability to tolerate wet or humid conditions and extreme temperatures.
Additional Information
- Work location: Spring, TX.
- Compensation: $41.59 per hour (W2).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday.
