Role overview
The team is hiring a Labourer for its Newmarket, Ontario site. This is a full-time permanent, on-site role suited to someone who enjoys practical work and wants to contribute to vehicle dismantling and recycling operations.
What the role involves
- Safely dismantling and depolluting vehicles with hand and power tools
- Getting vehicles ready for resale or yard display
- Removing wheels, rims, and tires from vehicles
- Cleaning, checking, and separating batteries for resale
- Sorting recovered parts and placing them into inventory
- Keeping the yard and work area tidy and well organized
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with prior experience in general labour or a similar hands-on position. You should be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, comfortable working at speed in a busy environment, and confident using hand and power tools. Reliability, a willingness to learn different parts of the operation, and comfort working outdoors in changing weather are also important.
