Role Overview

The Junior Product Developer position is a detail-focused role supporting the progression of apparel collections from concept to production readiness. Reporting directly to the Product Development Manager and working onsite at Scottsdale, AZ, the chosen candidate will coordinate samples, materials, product data, development schedules, and maintain communications with vendors. This role demands meticulous organization, clear communication, reliability, and an ability to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily receipt, organization, and distribution of product samples for development, marketing, sales, and photoshoots.
Maintain accurate logging and tracking of all incoming and outgoing packages related to product samples.
Keep seasonal sample racks and archives of previous season samples neat and accessible.
Ensure fabric and material libraries, including swatches, lab dips, strike-offs, and trims, are well-organized with comprehensive supplier and cost information.
Maintain updated and accurate product style data, comments, approvals, and material details within the Centric PLM system.
Support creation and upkeep of product development trackers, timelines, and communicate timely and clear updates to vendors and suppliers.
Assist in the preparation and review of tech packs to verify completeness and consistency.
Attend fittings and record relevant feedback and follow-up tasks.
Coordinate extensively with cross-functional teams including Design, Technical Design, Product Development, and Merchandising to ensure smooth seasonal product progression.
Identify and resolve missing information, delays, or quality issues proactively.

Qualifications

1 to 2 years of relevant experience in apparel product development, production, technical design, or product operations.
Basic understanding of apparel construction, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing workflows.
Exceptional attention to detail with ability to maintain high accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Dependable work style with consistent follow-through.
Comfortable collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Problem solving mindset with the ability to identify gaps and ask pertinent questions.
Adept at working in fast-paced environments where priorities may shift.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Product Development, Textile Science, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Additional Experience

Familiarity with Centric PLM or other product lifecycle management tools.
Experience managing tech packs, specifications, and fit feedback in apparel development.
Hands-on experience with fabric libraries, trims, lab dips, or strike-offs.
Knowledge of ERP software like Sync.
Background working with overseas vendors or apparel suppliers.
Experience in golf, activewear, performance apparel, or lifestyle consumer brands.
