Junior Data Analyst

Overview

The Junior Data Analyst role involves delivering valuable business insights by analysing complex datasets and generating regular reports. This position works closely with different departments to respond to management queries, facilitating well-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage reporting packages and data models using Excel, Power Query, PowerPivot, and Power BI to transform raw data into actionable insights collaboratively with departments.
• Create dashboards and visual reports that enhance understanding of business performance and operational processes.
• Continuously improve and streamline existing reporting tools and packages.
• Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to assess and fulfill reporting needs while providing valuable insights.
• Effectively present findings and analyses to various stakeholders.
• Cleanse and validate data to ensure accuracy and facilitate efficient data processing.

Technical Knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with data visualisation tools, specifically Microsoft Power BI.
• Familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python or SQL is advantageous.
• Completion of Level 3 Data Essentials Apprenticeship or Level 4 Data Analyst qualification is preferred.

Educational Requirements

• A-Level Mathematics or equivalent, with a grade 4 or higher.
• English GCSE or equivalent, grade 4 or above.
