About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join a prominent security and surveillance technology company in Singapore that is rapidly expanding and dedicated to innovating automated security services.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and prepare a comprehensive set of accounts for multiple small companies within the group.
- Enter accounting data accurately and promptly into the accounting software.
- Support monthly and annual financial closing processes.
- Keep precise financial records and statements up to date.
- Record and post accounting entries related to accounts payable, adjustments, accruals, and prepayments to ensure timely and accurate business transaction records.
- Manage payroll and bank payment entries, including monthly reconciliation of bank statements.
- Issue monthly sales invoices with accuracy.
- Update and maintain the Fixed Asset register and calculate monthly depreciation through the ERP system.
- Perform month-end revaluation of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Reconcile inter-company transactions within the group.
- Prepare monthly payments via online banking or cheque issuance.
- Generate reports from the accounting system as needed for management review.
- Prepare quarterly GST reports following local tax laws.
- Carry out ad hoc physical stock counts for inventory validation.
- Assist with year-end audits as required.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
