Role Overview
We are seeking a technically proficient IT Systems Administrator to join our Platform Services team, supporting and optimizing the Microsoft-based enterprise systems that underpin our retail stores, corporate offices, distribution centers, and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer and improve Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Windows Server, and related technologies.
- Manage identity and access solutions, endpoint management, and collaborative platforms across various locations.
- Diagnose and resolve technical challenges spanning infrastructure, applications, devices, and cloud environments.
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security of key technology platforms.
- Collaborate with various teams including Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, Desktop Support, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver effective IT solutions.
- Engage in projects focusing on cloud migrations, upgrading technology, automation, platform enhancement, and service quality.
- Create and update technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge bases.
- Identify and implement system performance improvements, streamline operations, fortify security, and enhance user experience.
- Participate in routine maintenance and be part of on-call rotations when required.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience supporting IT environments in medium to large organizations.
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Server, and endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within IT Service Management frameworks involving incident, request, change, and problem handling.
- Excellent communication abilities accompanied by solid technical documentation skills.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Customer-oriented approach committed to delivering high service quality and continuous process improvement.
Technical Experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications like Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
- Expertise in identity and access management technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, Multi-Factor Authentication, Conditional Access.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or equivalent endpoint management solutions.
- Windows Server administration skills.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
- Knowledge of file and print services, IIS, Windows infrastructure, SQL Server or similar database platforms.
- Supporting enterprise applications, monitoring systems, and working with vendors.
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, certificates, backup/recovery, virtualization, and business continuity principles.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ticketing and workflow platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing enterprise printing environments, cloud print, or print modernization projects.
- Knowledge of Windows Autopilot, endpoint compliance, security baselines, application packaging.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Defender, Graph API, and automation via PowerShell.
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other enterprise business solutions.
- Experience with VMware, Veeam, backups, virtualization, or related infrastructure services.
- Working with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or Jira.
- Background in retail, healthcare, pharmacy, distribution, or multi-site environments.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, MD-102, AZ-900, SC-900) or equivalent experience.

Work Arrangement and Location
The position starts full-time onsite during onboarding in Richmond, British Columbia, transitioning into a hybrid model with approximately 60% onsite and 40% remote work flexibility.
