Job description

Role Overview

Located in Tuas, Singapore with two-way transportation provided from selected MRT stations islandwide, this position is part of the local planning team responsible for comprehensive management and examination of inventory across multiple categories including packaging, raw materials, and finished goods. The incumbent delivers detailed inventory analysis aimed at developing a streamlined supply plan aligned with key performance indicators such as Weeks of Stock (WOS), On-Hand Inventory Value, Inventory Loss, Inventory Accuracy, and Perfect Order Rate to support the manufacturing site in Singapore.

Collaboration and Responsibilities

This role requires close cooperation with various internal teams including Customer Service, Materials Operations, Warehouse Operations, Production, Product Portfolio, Quality, and Finance departments. Key duties include leading inventory analysis routines, supporting planning updates with data insight, driving sustainable inventory optimization balancing market demand with storage and value considerations, and spearheading monthly Materials Review Board activities to minimize asset write-offs.

Inventory Accuracy and Compliance

The role assumes responsibility for ensuring inventory accuracy across the site, managing activities to synchronize stock records with physical inventory including warehouse, external storage, and in-production items. It involves reviewing and improving cross-functional processes, SOPs, and work instructions related to inventory. Joint task forces are established to implement inventory control programs to meet inventory targets and audit compliance. Additionally, the role oversees inventory discrepancy investigations with cross teams and fosters continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analyses to resolve inventory issues.

Requirements

  • Solid foundation in supply planning and inventory management principles
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Over 3 years of experience in supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment, including proficiency with SAP, MRP systems, and inventory management practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines preferred
  • Positive attitude towards adopting digital tools and participating in transformational initiatives is advantageous
