Import Executive

Overview

We seek a skilled Import Executive based in Mtwara, Tanzania, to oversee import operations effectively. The role demands in-depth understanding of Tanzania's import regulations, customs clearance processes, and compliance with TISEZA/EPZA guidelines.

Key Duties

• Oversee complete import procedures ensuring prompt customs clearance and timely shipment receipt.
• Manage import documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other mandatory paperwork.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping companies, and government bodies.
• Ensure full adherence to TISEZA/EPZA protocols and all pertinent Tanzanian import legislation.
• Track shipment progress and address any logistical or clearance challenges swiftly.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee smooth import operations.
• Keep detailed records and prepare reports related to import activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least three years of hands-on experience managing imports in Tanzania.
• Thorough practical knowledge of TISEZA/EPZA regulations and import compliance.
• Proven expertise in customs clearance, import documentation management, and freight coordination.
• Capability to independently oversee import processes from shipment dispatch to final customs clearance.
• Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving capability.
• Candidates available for immediate joining will be preferred.
