Role Overview
This fully remote Human Resources Assistant position supports day-to-day HR operations for a distributed team. The role centers on keeping employee information current, assisting with onboarding and offboarding, and making sure HR processes run smoothly and follow internal standards.
You’ll work with sensitive employee data, help keep systems and records in order, and take care of administrative tasks that improve the employee experience. This opportunity is well suited to someone who is careful, dependable, and comfortable working within clear processes from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep employee information up to date in HR systems and verify that records remain complete and accurate.
- Assist with onboarding and exit processes, including paperwork and scheduling support.
- Draft HR-related documents such as employment contracts, letters, and internal notices.
- Handle simple HR questions and route requests to the right team member when needed.
- Follow HR policies, document-handling rules, and data privacy expectations.
- Maintain digital HR folders using consistent naming and filing methods.
- Track HR workflows, spot bottlenecks or missing steps, and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Update HR trackers regularly and share progress on open tasks and pending items.
- Support audit readiness by keeping documentation organized, complete, and easy to retrieve.
