Role Purpose
We are looking for a motivated and results-focused Human Resources Generalist to oversee HR activities for the New Zealand and Australia operations. This position primarily functions onsite at the Mt Wellington office, managing multiple HR facets including talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, HRIS management, employee relations, training, and compensation and benefits administration.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the key HR contact for New Zealand and Australia, offering guidance on daily HR inquiries, fostering relationships, advising leadership on policies, and addressing employee concerns.
- Collaborate with the HR Director to investigate workplace issues, propose resolutions, and successfully manage employee relations challenges.
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle in Oceania from hiring through exit processes.
- Lead recruitment for local openings, coordinate with the APAC HR team on strategic hires, manage job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Develop and deliver compliance training sessions covering Code of Conduct, anti-bribery, and other required topics.
- Administrate HR operational systems including HRIS, time and attendance software, payroll, recruitment, and learning and development platforms.
- Handle relationships and invoicing for external HR suppliers, benefits providers, recruitment services, and fleet management.
- Work in partnership with the regional APAC team to align HR strategies with business objectives and improve operational performance.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in Human Resources or a related business discipline.
- Bring at least five years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Exhibit a proactive, positive mindset coupled with servant leadership qualities.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse organizational levels and cultures.
- Have excellent familiarity with or willingness to learn local employment laws applicable in New Zealand and Australia.
- Be able to commit to full-time, onsite work within both office and manufacturing environments.
