Role overview

This position sits within the People Experience & Operations team and focuses on delivering a strong employee journey from hire to retirement. The role supports frontline HR operations at plant level, with an emphasis on clear service standards, timely execution, and better employee experience. It also contributes to India business-unit priorities around digitization and smoother people processes.

Talent acquisition and onboarding

  • Manage frontline hiring activities in coordination with employment exchanges, including screening, interview coordination, background verification, and pre-employment testing.
  • Handle onboarding for plant employees by ensuring H2O onboarding steps are completed, followed by Day 1 and functional onboarding modules on myLearning.
  • Work with the relevant department to support contractual hiring based on business needs.

Employee services and administration

  • Act as the primary contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, payroll, schedules, procedures, and other lifecycle processes.
  • Support learning administration for identified employee groups by arranging training, tracking progress, following up, and closing actions.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities such as Dil Se, Plant Days, and other on-ground engagement initiatives, including communication and surveys.

Digitization and process improvement

  • Support the business-unit digitization agenda for plant operations, including time and attendance workflows for PCI and NPCI workforce groups, Schoox, and other myServices-related processes.
  • Spot process gaps and recommend areas where digital tools can simplify and improve HR operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance HR and plant workflows.

Compliance, safety, and records

  • Ensure compliance with applicable central, state, and local labour and employment requirements, including support for AIB audits as required by law.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and ensure documents are audit-ready and properly filed.
  • Coordinate with Safety and Operations teams to monitor training, certifications, and plant access or clearance requirements.
  • Work closely with the Welfare Officer on operational activities conducted at plant level.

CoE-led programs and performance support

  • Coordinate training programs, track completion, and maintain records for initiatives directed by the centres of excellence for TM, TR, and PE&O.
  • Support performance review cycles by managing timelines, forms, reminders, and local communication efforts.
  • Help drive PMP implementation for frontline employees across objective setting, mid-year, and year-end phases.
  • Assist with rollout of core people processes, including survey administration through roadshows for frontline employees such as Org Health and MPW.
  • Provide logistics support for learning sessions, including venue planning, vendor and trainer coordination, invoicing, attendance tracking, and feedback collection.
  • Organize and administer CoC training for frontline employees, new hires, and third-party employees.

Events and plant HR support

  • Support HR events such as Rewards and Recognition, annual function celebrations, and HR townhalls by coordinating logistics and preparing content like communications, presentations, and invitations.
  • Provide administrative support to plant leadership and the HR lead through reports, presentations, and data entry.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for accounts-related HR operations work and maintain the reporting repository required for those deliverables.
  • Handle account queries within agreed service levels and communication channels.
