Job Overview
As a Housekeeper, you will be crucial in maintaining cleanliness standards across rooms and dormitories at a remote camp site. Working closely with the Housekeeping Lead and Camp Manager, you will ensure the adherence to company policies for quality and site hygiene. This role is safety-sensitive and requires a criminal record check.
Work Environment & Amenities
- Remote camp lifestyle with provided accommodations and meals
- Travel to and from site arranged from designated locations including Winnipeg, Thompson, Flin Flon, and The Pas

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned dormitories ensuring thoroughness and efficiency
- Clean and disinfect guest rooms and shared washrooms daily
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum guest rooms, public spaces, and dorm hallways every day
- Manage guest check-outs and change linens on schedule promptly
- Sanitize laundry rooms and frequently touched surfaces in dormitories daily
- Maintain dormitory hallways including high dusting tasks
- Collect, wash, and fold towels regularly
- Keep workspaces organized, including storage areas and housekeeping carts throughout shifts
- Maintain a safe work environment consistently
Qualifications
- Experience preferred in remote lodge environments or hotel/institutional housekeeping; commercial cleaning experience is a plus
- Current First Aid certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures, chemicals, equipment, and products used in housekeeping
- Strong team player committed to delivering excellent client satisfaction
- Valid government-issued photo identification is needed for site travel
- Ability to undergo and pass a criminal background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Capability to perform physical labor including:
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
- Climbing ladders or stairs
- Standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods as required
- Repetitive hand usage requiring full use of both hands
- Working with arms fully extended or raised above shoulder height

Work Schedule and Compensation
The position operates on a rotational basis with potential night, weekend, holiday, and weekday shifts. Travel to remote sites is facilitated via air or shuttle transport. Compensation starts at $17 per hour and wages are paid hourly.
