About Radius Care
Radius Care is a proudly New Zealand owned and managed organization specializing in health and aged care services for elderly and disabled individuals. Operating across 25 locations nationwide with a workforce exceeding 1800, we deliver professional, compassionate care to more than 1700 residents, making us a leading healthcare provider in the country.
Role Location and Hours
The position is based at Radius Thornleigh Park, 25 Heta Rd, Highlands Park, New Plymouth. The role is part-time, involving 25 hours weekly scheduled across a rotating roster.
Visa Information
Note that we are unable to support work visa applications or changes for part-time healthcare assistants. Applicants must have a current visa with unrestricted work rights, ideally valid for at least six more months.
Compensation
Pay rates are dependent on recognized caregiving qualification completion.
Role Responsibilities
- Delivering outstanding care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Establishing meaningful connections with residents and their families.
- Collaborating closely with a team to execute tailored care plans for individuals.
- Assisting residents with personal care, encouraging choices that support their independence.
- Completing assigned duties promptly and effectively.
- Responding swiftly to resident needs and providing accurate, relevant information.
- Maintaining and updating healthcare records for residents.
- Supporting the shift change handover process to ensure continuity of care.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possession of the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing and relevant experience are advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy toward residents and their families.
- Proficient written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Flexibility to work according to a rostered shift schedule.
