Head of Information Technology - Data and Digital Transformation

About the Role

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company with operations across Ireland and the UK, is seeking a Head of IT to lead their data and digital transformation efforts. This role requires defining the technology roadmap, reviewing current systems, and ensuring their alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IT operations, digital transformation, data management, and technology strategy, while supporting existing systems and assessing new business-critical platforms.
• Oversee day-to-day IT operations and production support through management of the existing IT team.
• Analyze and document end-to-end business processes including product lifecycle, order processing, pricing, resource and project planning, manufacturing, and installation activities.
• Design and implement integration solutions that connect diverse systems via API links, data extraction, and consolidation methods.
• Develop management dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time, data-driven insights to leadership.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT, digital transformation, and business systems delivery, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing IT teams.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction or pharmaceutical sectors is essential.
• Demonstrated success in managing critical business platforms, systems integration, and data handling across APIs, databases, and multiple disparate systems.
• Strong expertise in management information systems (MIS), business intelligence (BI), and reporting capabilities.
