Role Overview

As an Analyst on the Engineering team, you will engage in a creative, collaborative, and agile environment, developing software and systems that enhance business operations—ranging from customer-facing applications to pivotal cloud platforms and essential systems in the background.

Potential focus areas within the team include:

• Application Development: Craft, deploy, and maintain modern web and mobile apps used daily by clients’ customers and employees.
• AI-Assisted Engineering (Generative AI): Leverage generative AI coding tools to accelerate software creation and integrate AI into engineering practices.
• Cloud Engineering: Support clients in cloud migration and utilisation of platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, employing cutting-edge cloud-native technologies with infrastructure-as-code and DevOps methodologies.
• Integration Engineering: Facilitate reliable and secure communication between systems, platforms, and data sources through APIs, middleware, and enterprise architecture.
• Platform Engineering: Design and scale platforms ensuring security, quality, and system observability.
• Mission-Critical Systems: Maintain and modernise vital systems that underpin public welfare and the national economy.
• Emerging Technology: Experiment with novel technologies and assist clients in adopting them.

Typical Daily Duties

• Writing, testing, and delivering code collaboratively within agile teams, under senior engineers’ mentorship.
• Learning to develop and deploy solutions on cloud platforms.
• Assisting in maintaining security, reliability, and currency of client systems.
• Utilising generative AI tools to boost development speed and mastering AI-integrated engineering approaches.
• Interacting directly with clients to understand challenges and translate them into software solutions.

Candidate Profile

• Currently in final year pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Business, Finance, Commerce or Data-related degree or equivalent.
• Collaborative personality thriving in team environments.
• Strong enthusiasm for cloud technologies, strategy, data analytics, and intelligent solutions.
• Capability to analyze data and derive preliminary insights.
• Resilience and comfort working with ambiguous problems.
• Natural problem solver with analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
