Role Expectations
As a Freelance Functional App Tester, you will assess a financial management mobile application from an end-user perspective, verifying proper function across real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assigned mobile app testing scenarios in detail
- Adhere to intricate testing guidelines and workflows
- Record your smartphone screen during test case execution
- Spot and document any unusual application behaviors
- Submit clear screen recordings and succinct test reports
- Communicate issues precisely in English
- Finish assigned tasks within stipulated deadlines
Workload & Duration
- Typically one testing assignment weekly
- Each assignment requires approximately 30 minutes of effort
- Submission expected within one to two business days after assignment
- Project length roughly two to three months
Requirements
- Mandatory active personal bank account with an Irish bank, including willingness to log into the app using your bank account for testing
- Smartphone device running iOS 18 or newer, or Android 7 or newer (required for secure testing)
- Valid Irish mobile phone number actively registered
- Comfortable installing and using mobile applications and following detailed instructions
- Ability to identify unexpected app behaviors and record the smartphone screen
- Submit reports timely and accurately, no prior experience in software testing or QA needed
- Reliable high-speed internet access, quiet workspace for focused independent work, and capability to meet deadlines
