Role Overview
We seek a commercially astute and analytical FP&A Analyst to enhance our ANZ Finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A & M&A for ANZ, this role involves supporting financial planning, comprehensive reporting, and delivering commercial insights to the business. This position is ideal for professionals embarking on their FP&A career and wanting to develop their experience, engage with senior stakeholders, and contribute to strategic financial decisions within an evolving finance function.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in executing the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning cycles.
- Compile monthly management reporting, financial analyses, and provide insightful performance evaluations.
- Build and sustain dynamic financial models, performance dashboards, and forecasting tools.
- Examine revenue streams, cost structures, profit margins, and key operational drivers to influence commercial decision-making.
- Collaborate on pricing strategies, profitability enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accuracy and governance of financial data ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver significant financial insights supporting business objectives.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a driven finance professional, possessing strong analytical skills and a keen interest in commercial finance, complemented by a proactive and problem-solving mindset. Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities are essential alongside a collaborative team spirit.
Mandatory qualifications and skills include:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or closely related field.
- Between 1 to 3 years of practical experience in FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting, or public accounting practice.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail capabilities.
- Strong communication skills and experience in engaging multiple stakeholders effectively.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude with the capacity to juggle various priorities.
Preferred attributes:
- Progress towards or completion of CA or CPA qualifications.
- Experience within a multinational corporation.
- Familiarity with business intelligence, financial reporting, or planning tools.
- Background in the manufacturing sector.
- Interest in implementing AI and technological solutions to enhance business processes.
