Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Review daily schedules to identify VIP arrivals.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of menu items, including garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods, and communicate this to guests courteously.
- Offer children's menus appropriately and describe specials and alternative dishes.
- Serve and clear food and beverages discreetly and professionally.
- Operate the POS system accurately for billing and payment procedures.
- Carry trays and manage table upkeep including linen and serviceware.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and address issues promptly, involving management when necessary.
- Follow cash and credit protocols as per Accounting Department's guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant during service.
- Polish silverware and replenish condiments like salt, pepper, sugar, and creamers.
- Stock workstations with necessary condiments consistently.
- Report guest feedback about food and beverages to management.
- Handle all operating equipment responsibly.
- Adhere strictly to safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Foster positive relationships with team members and across departments.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage outlets and hotel services.
- Perform assigned opening and closing duties, including table setup per standards.
- Alert management to any deviations from policies or standards.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of service and storage areas.
- Minimize wastage and mishandling of supplies and equipment.
- Conduct light cleaning and maintenance tasks within the outlet.
- Provide assistance to other Food & Beverage outlets during busy periods as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Professional grooming and neat presentation at all times.
- Ability to manage and account for cash efficiently and accurately.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with customers effectively.
- Capability to resolve problems with diplomacy and tact.
- Foundational knowledge of food and beverage products.
- Teamwork-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Completion of secondary education.
- At least one year of experience in food and beverage service.
- Previous experience with customer interaction or cashier duties.
