Financial Accountant

About the Role

We are a prominent Irish real estate investment and development company looking for a Financial Accountant to enhance our expanding finance department. This position provides hands-on involvement with property development initiatives, blending essential financial accounting responsibilities with a commercial perspective. Collaborating closely with the development team, you will oversee the financial aspects of significant projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile monthly management accounts and statutory financial reports
• Oversee the month-end closing process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet oversight
• Drive budgeting and forecasting processes specifically tailored to development projects
• Track project expenditures and cash flows relative to budgets, contributing insights to financial models
• Work alongside the development team to comprehend construction costs, project timelines, and overall viability

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of ACA or ACCA qualification with approximately 2 to 3 years of experience after certification
• Demonstrated expertise in finance related to real estate, property, or construction fields
• Analytical thinker with a keen interest in commercial finance within the property industry
• Effective communication skills with a history of stakeholder engagement
