Fabricator

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Fabricator with extensive experience particularly in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors. The role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing diverse piping systems and structural elements while adhering strictly to engineering designs, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication and assembly of pipe spools and piping systems for various bore sizes.
• Construction and installation of structural steel components such as pipe supports, stands, gates, guardrails, spectacle blinds, and additional mechanical items.
• Handling fabrication resources including carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other metals both ferrous and non-ferrous.
• Interpreting and working independently from engineering drawings, isometric layouts, and detailed fabrication plans.
• Fabricating heavy components like pressure vessels, heat exchangers, saddles, and vessel nozzles in line with set specifications.
• Performing fabrication operations including cutting, fitting, grinding, bending, and assembly using proper tools and machinery.
• Ensuring that all fabricated products conform to quality standards, specified dimensions, and project requirements.
• Adhering to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry guidelines during fabrication tasks.
• Collaborating with supervisors, inspectors, and related trades to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate from a recognized trade program in fabrication, pipefitting, bending, riveting, burning, or a comparable mechanical discipline.
• Basic proficiency in English with the capability to read, write, and interpret engineering and isometric drawings.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in fabrication, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical fields.

Required Skills

• Expertise in fabrication techniques and pipework assembly.
• Ability to independently decode engineering and isometric drawings.
• Experience with fabricating structural components and pressure vessels.
• Skilled use of fabrication tools, precision measuring instruments, and machinery in workshops.
• Understanding of material types and their handling requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
