About the Role
We are seeking an Events Executive to join the Marketing team of a prominent full-service law firm based in London. This fast-growing firm, with a history spanning over 150 years and offices in London, Leeds, Birmingham, and Colchester, serves a diverse client base including global multinationals, housing associations, charities, and regulators.
The role involves developing and delivering a comprehensive calendar of client-focused events—ranging from in-person, virtual to hybrid formats. Working closely alongside the Marketing and Business Development teams, the Events Executive will play a vital role in executing conferences, roundtables, webinars, sponsorships, receptions, and networking functions that meet strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the firmwide events calendar efficiently.
- Handle end-to-end project management to ensure smooth, timely, and budget-compliant delivery of all events.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development colleagues for event planning, communications, and execution.
- Maintain GDPR-compliant mailing lists, organize invitations, and monitor RSVP responses with regular updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations to support business development opportunities.
- Update event-related content on the firm’s website and intranet platforms.
- Lead marketing initiatives for external conferences and exhibitions.
- Source venues for seminars and events and conduct relevant market, client, and competitor research.
- Compile event performance reports and statistics to inform future improvements.
- Act as a brand ambassador by ensuring all event communications align with the firm’s tone and branding guidelines.
- Coordinate logistics such as branded merchandise, catering, and administrative support, delegating tasks where appropriate.
- Engage in corporate social responsibility activities, nurturing relationships with partner charities.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing or business development, preferably at a coordinator or executive level.
- Experience with events, especially within legal or professional services sectors, is highly advantageous.
- Strong project management skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively and handle multiple priorities.
- Capable of independently organizing workload and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Flexible with willingness to travel between UK offices (Birmingham and Leeds) and work outside regular hours when needed for events.
- Demonstrates a proactive, solution-oriented approach and thrives in team environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with marketing/design software such as Foleon, Canva, InDesign, CRM systems, and email marketing platforms is preferred.
- Eager for continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
