EUC Architect - Azure Virtual Desktop & Intune

Overview

We are expanding our Digital Workplace and End User Computing (EUC) capabilities by hiring a Senior Hybrid Desktop Infrastructure Architect & Engineer. This pivotal role involves defining and leading the architecture, engineering, and deployment of a cutting-edge, Zero-Trust-based hybrid desktop environment. You will guide the transition from legacy VDI platforms such as Omnissa Horizon and Citrix to a modern setup leveraging Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365 Cloud PC, and Intune-managed devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and establish enterprise-level high-level and low-level hybrid desktop architectures, including Azure landing zone standards for AVD/Cloud PC and Zero-Trust endpoint management.
• Plan and implement phased migration strategies to transition workloads from legacy VDI systems (Omnissa Horizon, Citrix) to the target hybrid infrastructure.
• Lead deployment, administration, and optimization of Azure Virtual Desktop components—host pools, session hosts, workspaces, and application groups—as well as Windows 365 Cloud PC environments.
• Manage Intune-based desktop platforms implementing Windows Autopilot, Entra ID device join, compliance measures, Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access policies, Windows LAPS, BitLocker encryption, and data loss prevention controls.
• Architect integrated identity governance frameworks utilizing Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, while managing the Azure network infrastructure including virtual networks, network security groups, ExpressRoute, and storage solutions.
• Implement user profile solutions such as FSLogix, OneDrive Known Folder Move (KFM), and application packaging with MSIX App Attach. Automate provisioning and configuration through PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure as Code tools including Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
• Monitor Digital Employee Experience (DEX) metrics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Intune Endpoint Analytics. Maintain disaster recovery strategies with multi-region failover for host pools and Autopilot re-provisioning runbooks.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7 to 12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and End User Computing, with over 5 years in architecting large-scale (1,000+ endpoints) enterprise desktop solutions.
• Proficiency in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365 Cloud PC, and migration from Omnissa Horizon or Citrix DaaS platforms.
• Expertise in modern endpoint management technologies including Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Windows Update for Business, and Windows LAPS.
• Strong knowledge in identity and access management with Microsoft Entra ID, Hybrid Join, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Defender for Endpoint.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure components such as networking and compute, plus automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and IaC technologies (Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
• Technical skills in user profile management with FSLogix, and application packaging and attachment using MSIX App Attach.

Preferred Certifications

• Primary: Microsoft Certified Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140) or Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102).
• Secondary: AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), AZ-305 (Azure Architect Design), SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator), or SC-900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
• Additional certifications related to legacy platforms such as Citrix or VMware advantageous for migration planning.

Work Environment

Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Information Technology.
