About the Role
This position is offered through a partner organization managing the recruitment process. The Engagement Leader will be based in the United States and lead a key healthcare partnership that has strategic importance. The role focuses on delivering measurable results to a major health system through a substantial multi-year engagement, combining healthcare strategy, executive relationship management, analytics, and operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily executive relationships with health system partners to ensure alignment, maintain effective communication routines, and foster stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and implement account strategies that align client priorities with measurable business outcomes and long-term partnership objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams including strategy, analytics, customer success, and business development to ensure coordinated, impactful delivery.
- Create executive-level materials such as presentations, opportunity analyses, business cases, and performance reports for senior healthcare leaders.
- Convert complex analytical insights, financial models, and operational data into compelling narratives that aid strategic decision-making.
- Define engagement roadmaps, oversee deliverable schedules, monitor progress, and proactively mitigate risks or challenges in adoption.
- Collaborate with internal teams to set analytical priorities and tailor insights to meet executive stakeholders’ needs.
- Prepare briefing materials for CFOs, strategy executives, and other senior stakeholders, anticipating inquiries and orchestrating conversations aligned with engagement goals.
- Identify opportunities to expand service lines, engage additional stakeholders, and support strategic initiatives within accounts.
- Maintain precise records of account details, engagement milestones, and relationship data in internal systems.
- Contribute to building engagement frameworks, best practices, and scalable models for organizational growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in healthcare strategy, consulting, operations, or comparable fields.
- 2 to 4+ years managing client-facing engagements or strategic relationships involving multiple stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of health system organizational structures, business development functions, and healthcare financial models including fee-for-service and value-based care.
- Demonstrated experience as a primary client contact, managing relationships, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level communication.
- Advanced skills in preparing polished presentations, strategic narratives, and analytical content aimed at C-suite audiences.
- Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams without direct authority, influencing execution through collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adept at interpreting complex data into actionable guidance.
- Experience collaborating with healthcare analytics, strategy groups, or operational improvement projects.
- Availability and readiness to travel around 30-40% of the time for onsite client engagement.
- Previous healthcare consulting experience, particularly in provider strategy, preferred.
- Additional experience in health system business development strategy, referral management, physician alignment, or network growth is advantageous.
- Familiarity with alternative payment models, accountable care frameworks, bundled payments, or value-based contracts is beneficial.
- An MBA or advanced education in healthcare strategy is favorable.
