Electro-Mechanical Technician

About the Role

Join Baker Hughes' innovative Drilling Services team as an Electro-Mechanical Technician, contributing to the development and maintenance of advanced technical products. In this position, you will engage in troubleshooting, testing, assembling, and disassembling mechanical assemblies, as well as performing visual inspections. You will assist in repairing and modifying equipment that does not meet specifications and conduct tests with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of procedures related to assembly, disassembly, and test validations.
• Set up and configure testing stations and equipment.
• Analyze and interpret results from environmental tests and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Support experimental setups and document data collaboratively with Engineering and Reliability teams.
• Test, evaluate, and repair general-purpose test instruments as needed.
• Provide guidance and coaching to fellow technicians within areas of expertise.
• Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a technical diploma or associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or higher qualification.
• Bring a minimum of two years' professional experience in electro-mechanical functions.
• Demonstrate advanced soldering and assembly skills for electro-mechanical components.
• Skillful in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
• Experience using measurement, gauging equipment, multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers, and other diagnostic instruments.
• Strong proficiency in oral and written English communication.
