Position Overview
The role involves carrying out minor routine maintenance tasks on property vehicles including engineering trucks, shuttle vans, and electric carts. Key duties include checking oil and fluid levels, inspecting tire pressure and wear, charging batteries, and replacing spark plugs. Additionally, the role requires performing preventative upkeep on tools and equipment, such as cleaning and lubrication, maintaining maintenance inventory, and ordering necessary parts and supplies.
Daily Operations
Maintaining detailed daily records of operations, maintenance activities, safety measures, instrument readings, test outcomes, and any equipment issues or repairs is essential. Compliance with company safety and security guidelines is mandatory. Reporting any maintenance faults, hazards, accidents, or injuries is part of the responsibilities. Participation in safety training and certifications along with correct storage of flammable substances is expected.
Workplace Conduct and Physical Requirements
Employees must present themselves in a clean and professional manner, uphold confidentiality regarding proprietary information, and safeguard company assets. Effective communication with colleagues using clear, courteous language and proper telephone etiquette is required. Building positive work relationships and supporting team objectives while addressing coworkers' concerns respectfully is important.
The job demands physical capabilities such as moving or handling objects up to 50 pounds independently, using fine motor skills for manipulating tools, inspecting equipment for defects visually, and performing movements including bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, reaching overhead and below the knees. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree. A minimum of two years of related experience is necessary. Supervisory experience or licenses/certifications are not required.
