Education Coordinator - Nursing Professional Development

Position Overview

The Nursing Professional Development Education Coordinator at Asante Medford supports the continual development and competence of clinical staff by designing, coordinating, executing, and assessing high-quality education, training, and clinical practice initiatives. This role ensures staff adherence to safe, evidence-based care standards and guides clinical practices and workflow improvements. It also provides unit-level educational support, facilitates onboarding, quality projects, and promotes best practices in nursing.

Collaboration and Impact

The coordinator collaborates closely with nursing leaders, preceptors, and interdisciplinary teams to boost staff preparedness, achieve care objectives, maintain compliance, and align efforts with Asante's mission and values.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, primarily Monday through Friday position from 8 AM to 5 PM based at the Asante Three Rivers Medical Center (ATRMC) campus, with expectations to support all Asante campuses on a weekly basis.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrates clinical proficiency within specialty area along with effective teaching skills based on adult learning principles.
• Preferred progressive leadership experience in clinical education, clinical practice, quality or project coordination, or supervisory roles.
• Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a Master’s degree in healthcare administration, education, health sciences, psychology, or environmental sciences is mandatory; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license authorized by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association (AHA).
