About the Role
Happy Chef is seeking a proactive e-commerce marketing specialist dedicated to managing and enhancing the daily functions of our website and customer engagement strategies. This individual contributor position requires hands-on experience within marketing platforms to build, execute, and optimize campaigns directly.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an integrated email and onsite campaign schedule aligned with business goals.
- Execute, quality assure, schedule, and track email marketing campaigns using DotDigital, including managing all elements from subject lines to post-send analysis.
- Create targeted customer segments based on purchasing behavior, engagement levels, and lifecycle stages to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Maintain and monitor audience data integrity, including consent management, preferences, and suppression lists.
- Design and fine-tune automated marketing programs such as abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase follow-ups, replenishment reminders, and win-back initiatives.
- Configure dynamic product suggestions ensuring customers see accurate and relevant products with appropriate pricing and links.
- Improve transactional customer communications, collaborating with technical teams for new event-triggered messages.
- Continuously monitor deliverability and campaign metrics, recommending adjustments to improve audience targeting, content, frequency, and automation logic.
- Manage routine updates to Adobe Commerce/Magento store content including landing pages, promotional materials, product displays, banners, and pricing.
- Coordinate email and website content updates for promotions, new products, and key commercial periods.
- Ensure storefront accuracy and functionality across desktop and mobile devices with systematic quality checks on content, pricing, links, and promotional offers.
- Analyze website and merchandising data to identify opportunities for enhancing navigation, product presentation, customer experience, and purchase metrics.
- Troubleshoot platform issues independently, transforming technical problems into developer task requirements and managing acceptance testing.
- Prepare clear and concise weekly and monthly performance reports integrating data from DotDigital, Adobe Commerce, and GA4.
- Focus on critical KPIs such as conversion rates, revenue per recipient, total attributed revenue, click rates, automation program earnings, list growth, unsubscription rates, and site average order value.
- Standardize campaign naming conventions, link tracking practices, UTM usage, quality assurance processes, and documentation for consistency and clarity.
- Deliver comprehensive reports elucidating outcomes, their implications, and recommendations for future actions.
Required Qualifications
- Over four years of practical experience in e-commerce, email, retention, or lifecycle marketing within consumer or direct-to-consumer businesses.
- Proven track record of hands-on involvement in designing, testing, launching, and analyzing email campaigns and marketing automation sequences.
- Significant hands-on expertise with e-commerce marketing automation platforms, strongly favoring DotDigital experience.
- Proficiency in managing e-commerce content and merchandising systems, with preference for familiarity with Adobe Commerce/Magento.
- Solid understanding of segmentation techniques, behavior and commerce analytics, and automated marketing programs including abandoned-cart and browse abandonment workflows.
- Experience working with GA4, campaign attribution methods, link monitoring, and UTM parameter best practices.
- Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS for modifying email templates and solving content display issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and sound judgement to differentiate between content/configuration issues and coding or integration problems.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both business leaders and technical collaborators.
