Overview
Carlsberg Britvic, the UK's leading multi-beverage supplier, is looking to hire a Driver's Mate based in Bedford, MK41 0LZ. This is a permanent, full-time role with an average 48-hour workweek, primarily Monday through Friday, though flexibility to work any five days within a seven-day span is expected.

Our portfolio includes well-known beers such as Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti, Brooklyn, Hobgoblin, and Wainwright alongside soft drink favorites like J2O, Robinsons, Tango, London Essence, and the Pepsi UK range including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea, and Rockstar Energy. With five production sites and 16 logistic depots, we serve customers nationwide and prioritize thriving work environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist drivers and warehouse teams in the loading and unloading of stock efficiently.
- Support drivers by identifying the best traffic routes to maximize timely and safe deliveries and returns.
- Establish strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety regulations in all activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a driver's mate, drayman, or warehouse operative is preferred but not mandatory.
- Customer service skills are essential.
- Manual handling experience or training is advantageous; comprehensive training will be offered during onboarding.
- Familiarity with the local Bedfordshire area is beneficial.
