About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Business Operations and Performance based in the United States to lead the development and enhancement of operational frameworks in a dynamic, technology-driven organization. This leadership role focuses on aligning business strategy, commercial results, operational delivery, financial management, and workforce planning. The Director will establish scalable processes, reporting systems, forecasting techniques, and performance management tools to empower better visibility and informed decision-making, enabling sustained organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Business Operations and Performance team, implementing scalable governance structures and operational rhythms.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to elevate decision-making through detailed performance reporting, data insights, and business recommendations.
- Create and maintain KPI systems, dashboards, scorecards, and management reports to monitor organizational performance and health.
- Manage sales operations including pipeline oversight, forecasting, opportunity tracking, revenue analyses, and commercial reporting.
- Oversee enterprise-wide revenue, staffing, utilization, profitability, and capacity forecasting activities.
- Design resource planning models that balance workforce capacity with business demand and growth initiatives.
- Optimize time tracking, utilization management, resource allocation, and operational workflows across departments.
- Conduct profitability analyses across clients, projects, services, and business segments to uncover areas for enhanced performance.
- Implement performance management practices to promote accountability, ownership, and ongoing improvement.
- Develop executive-level reporting and facilitate review sessions that provide actionable insights into organizational trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional projects targeting process enhancement, automation, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
- Evaluate future operational requirements and present strategies for expanding the business operations function.
Candidate Requirements
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in Business Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue or Sales Operations, Consulting Operations, Strategy, or related business management disciplines.
- Proven track record supporting executive teams with forecasting, strategic planning, performance management, and decision-making processes.
- Deep knowledge of professional services economics, resource and utilization planning, and profitability assessment.
- Experience establishing KPI frameworks, dashboards, operational reviews, and executive reporting mechanisms.
- Advanced skills in data analysis, financial modeling, problem-solving, and strategic business planning.
- Ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable recommendations and strategy.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive presence with demonstrated influence across diverse teams.
- Experience designing processes, systems, and operating models within scaling or evolving organizations.
- Familiar with tools like Salesforce, Power BI, Harvest, and Smartsheet for business intelligence, CRM, and operational management.
- Background in healthcare consulting, technology, analytics, software, or professional services is desirable.
- MBA or an advanced business degree is advantageous.
